From Eric Eberhardt: As I was saying last month, I'm often pretty conflicted about the voyeuristic nature of the police scanner audio on the site. This past week has been a particularly difficult one to listen to, although I still think it's important to try to contend with this stuff as directly as possible. But we all need a break sometimes, so for this month's show I decided to try a new audio source... The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross! As Bob says, "I spent half my life in the military, and I used to come home, take off my little soldier hat, put on my painter's hat, and there I'd build the kind of world that I wanted. It was peaceful, it was quiet, there was no hassles, nobody was yelling, and it was good, everything was good, nobody was gonna get shot or hurt. Not in my world."
