picked this up in a trade last night. Basically got it for about half of what it sells for. It's built well and fun as hell!

    • very jealous... haven't tried the micro, but it's big brother is all over my new record could really do with one of these for live...kingsteven
    • that would make a sweet more fun replacement for the Akai LPK25. those two screens surely have a classic VU meter feature?shapesalad
    • ah, I see full sized keys.shapesalad

    • lol shape. The keyboard is great, not at all what i expected. The larger, 4000D model has wooden keys.futurefood
    • @king, this is my first mellotron experience, really. Never messed with M-Tron or the like.futurefood
    • ...For the past couple years i'd been hoping to buy 4000D mini but never pulled the trigger.futurefood
    • Heh, I love the authenticity of the wooden keys, somehow makes it sound more like classic mellotron because you're forced to play it like one...kingsteven
    • I've tried the mini and it suits me (primarily a guitarist) far better but tbh I think 2 octaves would do. on the list, but samples will have to do for now :-|kingsteven
