- Nairn-2
On the walk into work this morning, I heard a white middle class-looking father call out to his young daughters Ruby and.. Beyoncé.
- clearly not middle class thenhans_glib
- It's a very middle class area/school and he sounded so - hence my surprise. Thanks for chiming in, btw, you got exactly where I was coming from..!Nairn
- Beyonce is upper class. Are you saying they're not high class enough to name their daughter Beyonce? Or surprised because they're white?monospaced

- nooo... I had the same opinion as Nairn, not mono'sOBBTKN
- I didn't share an opinion, though. Nairn only implied an opinion that either white people, or middle class people can't use the name Beyonce.monospaced
- Mono's gotta mono.Nairn
- "Beyonce is upper class"
Thanks, mono - that's probably the funniest thing I'll read this week.Nairn - Mono's daughter's called Shaqria-La-Presley Mono.Nairn
- Got it. So you really do believe white people can't use the name, and that only what ... lower than middle class black people can?monospaced
- Nothing funny about me saying I didn't share an opinion, or about clarifying yours. This whole weirdness is on you, not me.monospaced
- It is somewhat out of the ordinary that middle class English people would name their daughter Beyoncé, yes.Nairn
- I'm not disagreeing with that, btw. I'm just asking about why you think that. Is it because they're not black, or not high/low class enough? Or both?monospaced
- What if it were stinking rich black people? What about if they were absolutely dirt poor black people? What is it about middle class white that's the issue?monospaced
- fyi mono: in the uk, chavs (of any colour) like to name their sprogs after slebs (of any colour)hans_glib
- @hans, thanks? ;)monospaced
- Maybe he's upper class but his wife (who chose the names) is a hot skank?microkorg
