Culture Night is usually pretty good.PhanLo - I did the website for culture night for years, had to ditch it because the chairman of the trust that runs it is also behind the bid for the redevelopment ofkingsteven
- the Cathedral Quarter, that wants to sell off half of the two main public spaces (that they use for the events, go figure), and a bunch of other BS that cankingsteven
- only further shit over the area. Gentrification is inevitable, it's just never been given the chance to happen organically... so HTN seems quite a superficialkingsteven
- part of it both by giving the area a scent of creativity, at the same time being badly enough curated to make the place look like shit to anyone with a criticalkingsteven
- eye. I just had to remove myself from the area entirely. I wish more would do the same unfortunately most artists need the $$$ and the idiot curator is king.kingsteven

- area it seems he wants to hang on to his job and although he left culture night, i'm not sure he wants to jeopardise his income by speaking out about thekingsteven
- conflict of interest between the culture night board and developers/ the exploitation of aesthetic gentrification (of which HTN is party to) to promote the bid.kingsteven

- @kingsteven, I reckon this period will be known for a lot of bad public art. Adam had been pretty vocal about the demolition of buildings, but as you say, maybePhanLo
- he needs to keep the wolf from the door. Seems to be a lot of dodgy landlord/property company things going on in that area.PhanLo
