Deputies began investigating the incident when half of a mobile home was found abandoned in the parking lot of an Elementary School Saturday.
they received dozens of tips from the public about a Craigslist advertisement from a seller in Yamhill. The owner was offering to pay $1,000 to have a mobile home hauled away from his property.
When deputies contacted the seller, the seller said a man responded to the ad and hauled away half the mobile home. Deputies confirmed this was the half that was found dumped at the school.
The man told the seller he would return for the second half.
Monday night, the seller called deputies and said the man was returning to haul away the second half of the mobile home.
Deputies met the man on his property and arrested the suspect, 35-year-old Derek Conley, of Portland.
