This morning in a meeting w/a new group I'm working with I brought up a reoccurring theme from some of my favorite movies to describe the kind of personality we wanted to portray for a series of commercials we're putting together (specifically: Randy Quaid's character in National Lampoon's Vacation movies).
The 24 yr old producer and 19 year old intern stared... and stared... until one spoke up w/a half-cocked head like a puppy confused by strange sounds from the TV:
"What movies? Who?"
"You know!" I shouted gleefully... "European Vacation!... ... Vegas Vacation?....... CHRISTMAS VACATION??!... SHITTER WAS FULLL??!!"
More confused stares.
I then began to sing 'Holiday Road' by Lindsay Buckingham...
... NOTHING.
