you can't load an entire web page into flash, no. it understands specific text formatting commands and thats about it (such as the p tag, font tag, etc.)
however, there are ways you can change the color of the background of the flash movie.
you can either use a javascript command that writes into your embed tag the color you want to use as the bg...
or
you cacn create a movieclip in flash with a ractangle the size of the stage inside it, and then just use AS to change the color of that movieclip.
