windoze 7 for not being able to play vimeo files

    and

vimeo for making their video player unworkable on older systems.

    • What do you mean, Vimeo on the web or as a download? Can you send me a link to an example?detritus
    • Download options appear to be just MOV or MP4 files - are you sure it's not just some daft issue with your player application?detritus
    • vimeo vids embedded in an html page won't play on chrome or ie11 running under windoze 7hans_glib
    • That's probably in IE11 issue, rather than a W7 no? I still have IE, rather than Edge, installed if you want to me to have a look? Email me if so.detritus
    • Tried this?

      detritus
    • i did but it made no difference. i don't care personally, but the page i've made is for others to use and what's the betting they're using ie11...hans_glib
    • client didn't want to use youtube for their uploads, but i think they might have to compromise for accessibilityhans_glib
    • also chrome on w7 won't play the vids either :(hans_glib
    • or old safari on the mac.hans_glib
    • Well, sounds like your client's made their own bed, so 'not your problem'. IE11's about 2-3% - maybe offer a workaround option on a browser sniff?detritus
    • He says, obviously. And, obviously, avoiding his own work...detritus
    • yep i guess. tho commissioning client is on mac so sees no problem. lolshans_glib
