Is there a discogs for books? I have a bunch that are listed for insane prices on Amazon, is there anywhere I can check how much they actually sell for?
This one was a real surprise (currently propping up a speaker):
- I have a book that is sometimes valued at a grand, and whenever times "aren't great" I check out eBay and see if it's time to sell.detritus
- ...but then I'd have to sell on eBay, which all signs point to being a terrible idea.detritus
- Problem with Amazon is that prices on 2nd hand items are often derived algorithmically and bear no relation to market reality. I remember seeing a book for £40kdetritus
- abebooks is the equivalent i thinkhans_glib
- abebooks showing even higher prices :-s is there anyway to see value of sold items? may stick em on eBay and just drop the price by 20% every month.kingsteven
- Boo, my book's valued at £430 there. I might just try and sell it anyway - its spent the last 3 years bound in cling wrap - no life for a book :(detritus
