@MondoMorphic "My question was to do with the poll, wishing for disaster, economic or otherwise, so the sitting president doesn't get credit, is ousted, etc."

First-off Trump has always generated international instability, Racism is now mainstream, his cabinet created the term "alternative facts", all different government agencies are now under the direction of people who were against the core value of those agencies... what credit do you think he deserves?

His presidency has been a disaster and I think is fair to wish to this shit-show to end. If all terrible consequences this moron put to the world brings the world a wake-up call and take down the propaganda we are living under, I think is fair game.

    • Also, why get triggered by comedians?Salarrue
    • Wishing for a President's failure is like hating the doctor who's performing a major operation on you, hoping for him to really fuck it up...MondoMorphic
    • Yes, it’s just like that. Fucking hell, imagine trump with a scalpelscruffics
    • lol - I'd be hoping and praying my ass off he didn't fuck it up!MondoMorphic
    • Mondo you hope Trump succeeds at everything? Building the wall, appointing more far right Supreme Court justices... where do you draw the line?yuekit
    • If your doctor is a crazy person your best option is to not to pray, it's to get a new doctor.yuekit
    • @yuekit, I didn't vote for the assclown and no, I'm not saying people should support everything he does. We should all hope that good does happen though...MondoMorphic
    • ...and not be fucking infants because our "team" didn't win, hoping for failure so we can say "told you so."MondoMorphic
    • A lot of it depends on how bad you think Trump is. Particularly people who are not white, not part of the majority culture may feel more threatened by how he isyuekit
    • changing the country. The "can't we all get along" line works better when one side is not an insane racist liar who could make things worse for years to come.yuekit
    • For sure. People to like Trump...*I* don't like him...but I want peace, I want a good economy, etc, and IMO that's more important than who receives credit.MondoMorphic
    • * don't have to like TrumpMondoMorphic
    • I'm willing to give Trump credit for things where there is a clear cause and effect between his action and a positive result.yuekit
    • But aside from that, why let cyclical things like a strong economy validate a racist demagogue? That doesn't benefit anyone.yuekit
    • The separating kids from their parents thing is just the latest example of the kind of country we are headed towards as Trump gets normalized.yuekit
    • what yuekit saidmonospaced
