  going for a hike in northern Vietnam. Flight to Hanoi, then a night train to Lao Cai.
  I have heard it is super touristy there, but it is kind of off season and I booked a guesthouse outside of Sapa, so I hope it is going to be ok.

  • I might recommend Mu Cang Chai, looks less turisty, or Ha Giang region, like Lung Cui or Dong Van. Regardless, bring some small candies for the kids there...robotron3k
  • hitchhiked Vietnam when I was younger. Was brilliant and Northern Vietnam was the best. i loved Sapamugwart
