RE: the Farage kids having German passports:

Folks here have Irish citizenship too, 3 million of us... i imagine if you tab up everyone in the UK with qualifying ties to EU states it's a few percent of the population that will be free to move and work... imagine being English with English parents and living in Belfast right now - how apparent it is that no matter what you get in terms of a deal, the more British you are, the more you will be disadvantaged!

An English mate (he claims mostly Welsh) moved from Berlin to Donegal a couple years back before the vote, hasn't lived in England for 20 years but unknowingly lost his right to EU citizenship by moving between EU countries... it is fucked.

Anyway, i'm sure some of you are aware of this but if I send one Brexiteer in to a jealous rage at being a second class citizen in their own country and force them to think, mission accomplished.

    • your english mate might be ok, we still don't know 100% what the deal is going to be! clock is ticking...shapesalad
    • shape man, it's impossible. we are >50% irish and have a border with ireland. voted 54% remain. our british nationalists are propping up the government...kingsteven
    • our irish nationalists make up a significant proportion of the irish govt. there is no possible deal that will satisfy all parties.kingsteven
    • the tories would need to sell out the DUP = no govt = no Brexit. or any border deal is vetoed by the Irish = terrible Brexit.kingsteven
    • sadly article 50 means it's going to happen irregardless of the govt fallinghans_glib
    • article 50 is 250 words long and vague as hell. 2 regions voted remain one has over 50% that aren't british and aren't represented in westminster.kingsteven
    • article 50 has never been invoked, but neither has article 7kingsteven
    • * article 50 had never been invoked beforekingsteven
