Trump / Cohen summary I just found on Reddit:

Wanted to re-post because I think it's important to understanding this issue:

What we know so far mostly gleaned from this podcast https://openargs.com/oa154-storm… Settlement agreement between Trump's lawyer (on behalf of Trump) not an NDA - includes Text messages, still images and/or porperty.

Settlement is prima facie evidence of failure to disclose a campaign contribution.

Payment was run through an LLC in Delaware where it's illegal to create an LLC to pay hush money. The most obvious way this is not legal is that it was created to pay hush money to cover up a crime (least of which adultery is a crime in NYC). It was also created to cover up an in-kind illegal campaign contribution.

Trump lied about this issue while the Mueller investigation was ongoing. This would be obstruction of justice if the Russians know about this affair. Complicated - but making false statements or concealing a material fact (even if just a press conference) is a crime (18 U.S.C. 1001). Basically trying to mislead investigators through statements to the press.

The most impeachable of the offenses would be that Trump directed his lawyer to form an LLC to pay hush money to a witness with knowledge of multiple crimes.

Trump company billed his campaign 129,999.72 five days after Cohen paid Daniels 130,000.

    • but in the end nothing's going to happen. Unless it comes from the republicans themselves, Democrats either can't do anything or don't give a shit._niko
    • ^ I wouldnt bet on that one at all. Many republicans hate trump and cant wait til he is just a bad memory.CygnusZero4
