^^^ I think you're referring to either simply composing a bass line or playing a bass line, in time and matching the kick drum rhythm. nice and tight. emphasises the rhythm. Common across all genres. Opposite of playing a syncopated bass line, where by your bass notes are played in between the kick drum hits. Seems there's not term of that, perhaps 'on the beat' or 'straight':

Or you could be referring to how the kick drum goes a little further than a kick sound, and sounds more like a musical note?
In which case you stick a Sub-Bass Synthesizer on your kick track and dial in a frequency that matches your songs root note - or go for 62.5hz.
I usually use this free plugin aptly named 'Sub-Bass Synthesier' and go for 62.5hz, can be had from here:
