any locals here have any experience with the printer, Astley Gilbert? client is recommending them
- no, but they look pretty huge_niko
- ya, that's what I'm worried about. I like a more collaborative approach with a printer and I get the sense they don't have time for that.Gnash
- who's your go-to right now?_niko
- Don't have a regular anymore -- mostly delivering PDFs. Last few I used Flash Reproductions -- they were good. And CJ Graphics when budget allowsGnash
- Lunar Caustic for letterpressGnash
- Kid Icarus for silk screenGnash
- Antsey Bookbinding for specialty/small run weird stuffGnash
- Wow quite the list, I like cj but yeah pricey_niko
- Know this response is late, but Andora, Flash, Standard Form. CJ is bloated price for no reason. If you need cheap and dirty, look up MGS.ben_
- Astley Gilbert is great for large format though.ben_
- ^ cheers. project still in the works :) right abut cj, but easyGnash
- Try Andora, easier, cheaper, better. Stan's fucking rad.ben_
- I've used them quite a bit over the years... Not sure if Tom George is still one of their printer/sales guys, but if he is, deal with him... such an awesome guyexador1
