It's a fucker, but try embedding all of your various swfs, set all the parameters, then save, close down the program, make a copy of your .ppt file and use that to test/work from. I know it sounds ridiculous, but after experiencing mac/pc/ppt nightmares a couple of years ago I found this to be the only way to develop the project without that fucking powerpoint program buggering around with all the ..well, everything. May the Good Lord be kind to you in your venture.
