    tax person.
    if you're a freelancer, DO NOT go to H&R block... the way they make their money is by taking as many people as they can, doing a quick and dirty filing, and sending them on their way thinking they got a great deal just because they give loans on refund checks.

    find a local tax person.
    they'll help you find the way stretch your earnings and pay the least amount in taxes.
    this is ESPECIALLY important if you're a freelancer. you can write off almost ANYThing if you're a freelance designer (ie: going to the movies = inspiration, equipment costs = new lappy, tv = equipment AND inspiration).

    it's worth the effort to do it right.
