    Macs can do that very easily and you can use a domain name,

    actually Windows can do it with a bit of configuration too, just install IIS off of your Win2k or XP CD

    the whole DOMAIN name thing can be done usually throug your registrar, like godaddy.com offers DNS hosting.

    the real problem you run into thought is if you have cable you are mostly limited to 128k upload. so therefore anyone from a remote location can only download your site at 128 which may not seem that slow on paper but in real life it is. especially if 2 or 3 peeps with DSL or cable are hitting your site.

    also unless you have a static IP ADDRESS your site address could change weekly or even daily.
