Something like OBS? The same thing the goofballs on Twitch use to capture/stream their games.
Not all that easy to use initially setup but once you do it's great for recording and it's free.
iSpring does a free thing - you start it up, drag the boundaries to the thing you wish to capture and press record - it makes wmv's albeit with an average quality. Perfectly serviceable if you want to record streams on Chaturbate. For example. Ahem.
