  Initial reactions:

  – Not sure where this logo would live, but the scale of type and detail in the illustration is too delicate (especially the ribbon text)

  – There's no need for the thin key lines around everything, they'll be invisible in most applications

  – Think about the arrangement of the university name. A split with 'Palos Verdes' at the top and 'University' at the bottom might read better. It's tough for the eye to start and finish reading at the bottom of the a circle

  – Would be nice if the anchor locked in with the circle form a bit more.
