This is a show that went pretty under-the-radar, but in terms of BBC quality programming, this is top notch. It's dense, the characters are wonderful, it's a mystery, and two seasons of 6 episodes makes it relatively easy to watch.
It's a bit difficult to find these days, but I say this rivals "Deadwood" as the biggest "What if it hadn't been cancelled?" in TV history. Peter Capaldi's performance in series 2 is absolutely entrancing.
