    Had a thought.

Say a known felon has been arrested for doing kiddie bad things or what have you. Once arrested and his fingerprints are taken, could they use those fingerprints somehow to get into his iPhone for evidence etc? Probably illegal but I suppose i'm just curious to know if fingerprints could be used to access an iPhone.

    • Probably, yes.detritus

    • Why default to kiddie porn for crims?!
I've had my prints and DNA taken a few times, but for way more socially-acceptable crimes! :)

    • You could - withoug goolging. Scan the prints. project as a bump map as a 3d texture. not to sure if you can print this - but detail there to rebuild. Thenmugwart
    • print in 3d. I'm sure you could then make a cast and use as a glove - or use that old oil and tape! At a guess of causemugwart
