Next month i've got date with the doc to check, and fix, a problem on my left eye (i've got a intraocular lens on it) and i'll ask him about this treatment for eye floaters... they are really annoying me when looking at white screens or paper

    • I got those from looking at an eclipse back in 94. Went to eye doctor and said there is nothing you can do. They are like freckles. nothing u can dohotroddy
    • but let me know if I'm wronghotroddy
    • They are normal, just cells from your eye but if they increase noticeably then you should speak to someone - potentially a symptom of something else.face_melter
    • @hotroddy, get information on this subject: vitreolysis laser treatment... there is a private hospital doing this with nice resultsOBBTKN
    • We've got a good public healthcare here, probably they're doing the same "free"OBBTKN
    • I remember first seeing floaters in my eyes when I was about 7, staring into my baby brother's eyes in bright sunlight. Totally freaked out my mother when I ..detritus
    • .. went and told her "i can see wee things floating around in #brother's eyes". I think that was the point she stopped trusting me.detritus
    • Mine come and go - I had a spell a year or so back where I thought I was getting a worrisome amount of the fuckers. Now I can't recall the last time I saw one.detritus
    • Mine are more visible when I'm out in bright sunlight, looking at a lighter color, like the sky. Increased amounts are definitely worth looking into.monospaced
    • I remember the moment i got my first one, sitting on my couch in brooklyn. It pinched, and now it always looks like a gnat is floating straight ahead.shellie
    • I don't see it now if u don't focus on it ur brain learns how to ignore it & fill in information from the other eye. But light color/bright lights show it moreshellie
