    I will say the real kicker is informing the client of the realities of data storage like this. Each video is 4gb and they have hundreds scattered all over different hard drives and servers. So it makes sense to centralize them. However they don't get that 4gb really equals 8gbs if you count offsite backup. And then they need to know about on going physical maintenance on top of the software stack. Plus you don't want people having to stream the HD version online... they should be served a low-res version .... which is more storage...

    Why can't they just put everything on a RAID drive setup or server as a backup and use Vimeo Pro to serve files. That to me is cost effective and relatively simple.
