Neck finally arrived from Musikraft (ordered about 2 months ago)! Love it, great shape and fret board is made from reclaimed Coney island boardwalk! The XII hockey stick headstocks aren't everybody's cup of tea, fucking love them myself. The body is an old Mex Jag blacktop i picked up on eBay for 70 quid, was sunburst, stripped and reshaped the contours to make it more like the XII body shape.
I am totally shitting it with this build right now. I've wanted a Fender XII for years, could never warrant the £3k+ pricetag. About £700 in right now, still awaiting the pickups from Curtis Novak & Gold anodised pick guard before sending it for paint (Olympic White/ Aged Nitro)
Going and try and get it together this week with a Lace sensor I have lying about... then take it back apart and do final prep for paint. Wish me luck!
