I work for the Lebanese Mafia producing substandard websites for fat rich clients in super fast time. But in all seriousness, thats what I do. I've lived here for two years and design is just not really recognised by clients over here (although they are starting to come round.) My advice is to do the dayjob, earn the money but try not and let your standards slip. ie: keep up the personal projects etc. Drop me a mail when you get here and I'll take you out for a shwarma.
