I now believe him to be nothing more than a brilliant troll.
Yesterday I'm out sick and see this email chain come through where the guy (the same guy who asked F or C for temperature) said he thinks we need to incorporate Material Design into our App because "a large force was pushing towards material design at GoogleIO"... yeah... you don't fucking say?!
So then these yahoos start in on ways to incorporate Material design and ask "what apps are good material design?"
So I get in today and expertly craft an email - as to not sound like I'm going on the defensive - that we have in fact designed almost our entire app using Material components. I list out 15 material components, with a link to the component library and screenshot of where in our app it's used, and frankly, it's found its' way into the app a lot more than I thought it did... and this fucker goes radio silent.
No, "Oh, well done! I didn't realize..." or try to cover his ass by saying "I meant more material design in terms of transitions and animations" which, by the way, would rest entirely on he and his team... nothing.
This fucking guy. I swear he's trolling me now. He's hyper critical of our design and I just can't figure out why.
