Speakers for imac?

    See the thing I dont really understand here is when you crank up the sound on your imac, it doesnt get THAT loud. Its a decent volume, but not exactly LOUD. So how does it provide juice for external studio speakers like this without some sort of boost? I dont get how it works.

    • get a speaker set that has its own power source. I'm using some nice little Bose computer speakers. A bit bass-y but whateverSquiddy
    • it doesn't go louder because of the speakers dimensions, to prevent damageuan
    • the iMac only sends a signal, the volume isn't really something you fuck with ... the speakers/amp do all the rest after the signal is sentmonospaced
