I was thinking during the presentation, that introducing a new file system (APFS) is a bad idea (based on all the struggle that the different file systems across os' cause, though meanwhile for the most part of it there are solutions).

now the first reports of how bad and chaotic this introduction is are appearing (and they probably skipped the solution for this, to make that copy files presentation look faster):

back to 'can you save the file on a mac so that I can open it in windows'.

    • It's beta for a reason, and remember that APFS is on all up-to-date iOS devices already. That rollout was as smooth as one could ask for.evilpeacock
    • Smooth. yeah, because how often are you using your iPhone/iPad to share files with PCs and Linux devices?ETM
