    i don't understand United Airlines. if they overbooked the flight - meaning they sold more tickets than seats - then why would some ticketed passengers be removed so that some ticketed passengers could then get on? it seems like to make everything easier, they would have told the person who didn't have a seat that 'Sorry, we fucked up but there is no seat for you!', rather than what they did which was 'Sorry, we know you paid for a ticket but we fucked up and now are going to forcefully pull you from this seat so that we can put someone else who paid for a ticket in it'.. absolutely makes no sense to me
