    I saw it.

    It is ok. Not great.

It looks amazing for the most part. The acting is good, and it has polish. Just sitting there in a cinema, seeing that kind of cyberpunk imagery brought to life with a Hollywood budget is incredible.

But, the story is weak and bastardised. The pacing is off. The directing of the action has zero tension. There's some cool moments, but it's hard to care.

No stakes, no tension. Doesn't make you want to watch it again.

Annoying as there are some great images - especially with Batou and beat takeshi as the Chief. And the villain in the hood, pretty damn well done. And Scarlet has this whole way she moves that is really interesting.... But then... it just all feels super flat and a bit boring.

They found a director who can execute a visual to a T. But who doesn't really understand structure or character. Kind of like a lot of those filmmakers who make great looking CGI Vimeo short films... but there is zero emotion or storytelling.

Oh and the music is bland as fuck. Really bothered me.

    • The trailers are incredibly boring too.monospaced
