Bought this last night and watched it again. This movie is better than Force Awakens. I still have the same issues with it that I had when I saw it in the theaters and wasnt sure if I loved it.

Mainly how I thought Tarkin shouldnt have had so many close ups, revealing that he was CGI. Still doesnt look like a real human, and if you cant get it to be 100% perfect yet, dont expose it too much putting him face to face with a real human. The eye movements were jerky and unrealistic.

And I hated how the asian jedi dude was cracking stupid jokes. I wanted him to be more cerebral and quiet, like that dude serif from the matrix. The jokes didnt fit his role to me. They had K2SO there for the jokes. Didnt need them for the one jedi-like character in this movie. Big mistake.

Other than that, the movie is really great, and visually is amazing. The story was just more interesting than force awakens (still a good movie). And I loved the music and characters.

    • Completely agree, especially about making the only jedi-like character a shitty comedianset
    • That line "Is your foot alright?" should have been cut from the movie. So corny. He should have been more monk-like.CygnusZero4
    • Especially with it being shoehorned into a really awesome fight scene by him. Ruined it.CygnusZero4
    • Every quest needs a "mage". donnie yen filled that role. It was a cool blend of heist + fantasy questing trope, the whole cast.dorkKn1ght
    • Minus the stupid jokes he was cracking.CygnusZero4
    • great SW movie - everything Force Awakens wasn'tfadein11
    • blind dude was a great addition - a mixture of fool/enlightened - perfect post Jedi holocaust character.fadein11
    • still amazes me how people forget what Cushing looked like and acted like in every single film he was in - he looked CGI before it existed.fadein11
    • I love bothinteliboy
