i wonder if all the arguments about the expenses etc is slightly misleading.

that's certainly what i felt, until somebody told me there are less eurocrats in the whole eu than there are bureaucrats in the uk treasury department.

    • £50 billion cost to leave. Oh dear what was the point. For all the EU's problems it was v.silly of people to put trust in an inept convservative government.fadein11
    • they didn't - they voted in a referendumhans_glib
    • precisely - they voted leave knowing the conservative govt (who's prime minister was against it) would have to see it through. Hilarious.fadein11
    • They are going to need all those bureaucrats now - conservative estimates reckon on 10 years of trade agreement rewrites lol.fadein11
    • What really tickled me recently was the fact the govt is having to hire in EU specialist negotiators for the Brexit process as we don't have enough in the UK.fadein11
    • Eu moves offices once month at a cost of £130m http://www.telegraph…fruitsalad
    • "In all, the EU admits that the monthly Strasbourg sitting, which lasts just four days, costs an additional £93 million a year" Sorry but EU has become a joke.fruitsalad
