Most people I've witnessed that are against Trump have become a slightly less exaggerated version of this black lives matter guy.

    • seriously?monospaced

    • haha... yes, seriously. People like buddahat and fadein put forth reasonable reasons to dislike him as a president so far, but most people I've spoken to...
      ********
    • ...the only reasons they can make are based on sheeple hearsay, rumour and misinterpretation... ie - 'he's a racist', or 'he hates women'. It's rather scary.
      ********
    • wowzers - mild compliment there - pls ignore my sheep comment further down the page haha.fadein11
    • Most people I know have legitimate reasons to dislike him, and can articulate their reasons perfectly well. I'm just surprised you don't know people like that.monospaced
    • Where I live, you won't find a single Trump supporter for miles, and if you do, they're usually something to be "witnessed." ;)monospaced
    • ^ scary.
      ********
    • That's my point mono, and why it seems like brainwashing. Usually sensible, intelligent, articulate people throw all reason out of the window and join...
      ********
    • ...the gaggle of hatred, without really being able to give any real reasons for that hatred.

    • I'm talking about NYC and the millions of sensible, intelligent, articulate people who make up my experience.monospaced
    • I'm sure you are..
      ********
    • I suppose you're trying to say that NYC, which is filled with successful, educated and articulate people of all walks, is completely brainwashed, too.monospaced
    • Donald Trump's home turf, his people, the place where he has been an institution for decades, where he's known more intimately than anywhere else on the planet.monospaced
    • I suppose those people, all of them, just don't know as much as everyone else, and are just jumping on a bandwagon. You're not that naive, set.monospaced
    • Hey, not trying to be right or anything, I'm just making the point that there are a lot of people who don't fit the stereotype you've experienced, that's all.monospaced

    • Is it that hard to understand that Trump is a right winger and therefore most of us on the left and center don't like his policies?yuekit
    • Honestly if he was a card carrying KKK member and ran around fondling women I wouldn't care that much if he had great policies....but he doesn't.yuekit
    • No offense but the people who are brainwashed are those who think Trump is so different just because he has "anti-establishment" credyuekit
    • and is supported, to an almost almost propagandistic level, by the likes of Alex Jones. On the policies, Trump is the SAME as George Bush and most otheryuekit
    • conservative Republicans on every issue except for some foreign policy and trade.yuekit
    • People on the left or center being opposed to all that is about the least surprising thing ever...Trump being a maniac is just the icing on the cake.yuekit
    • I hear you. I guess I have a different viewpoint because my experience is based from the UK, where never before have I seen such emotionally...
      ********
    • fueled hatred for a president, which is quite obviously fueled by the media, because most people don't even understand his policies. He just seems like a cunt
      ********
    • Everyone thinks he's a racist and hates women. He gets compared to Hitler for goodness sake. It's a worrying reality.
      ********
    • And people say what a brilliant president Obama was. Again without really looking at actions but simply what kind of a man he seems to be on the TV
      ********
    • If that's my experience of people in the UK it's not much of a stretch of the imagination to assume a large majority are behaving like that in the states.
      ********
    • I didn't really mean 'large majority' but you get my drift :[
      ********
    • Sure but its not exactly coming out of nowhere...he did run a campaign based on race and white identity politics. I don't think that's a biased interpretation.yuekit
    • Now I get your point on foreign policy, Obama was more interventionist than his rhetoric suggested and the media barely covered some of it.yuekit
    • However aside from wanting to make nice with Putin I don't think Trump is really that much of a peacemaker himself. He is continuing drone strikes, continuingyuekit
    • to assist Saudi war in Yemen, etc. Sounds more hawkish than Obama against both China and Iran.yuekit
    • We'll see. If the hysteria against Trump leads to greater opposition to U.S. wars then that would actually be a good thing.yuekit
    • I guess it would.
      ********
    • :)

    • "my experience is based from the UK, where never before have I seen such emotionally set fueled hatred"
Erm - have you forgotten the Brexit campaign already
      fadein11
    • which heavily inspired Trump funnily enough (and yes he said that not the liberal 'biased' media)fadein11
    • Sorry my bad - you were talking about UK folks reaction to him. Ignore above.fadein11
