I don't get all fuss and news coverage about Trump's temporary travel ban on people from 7 countries.
It's just a simple logical moral dilemma.
For example... imagine you're a bouncer/door man at a nightclub, it's up to you who gets into the nightclub.
The previous weekend at another nightclub across town, 10 guys in green shirts smashed up the club, glassed people, raped some woman, knifed someone etc...
Now on this weekend, you're working the line and 5 guys in green shirts turn up.
What do you do?
Trust them, let them in, they say they are innocent and have nothing to do with the guys from last weekend. But... everyone will blame you if it turns out they are the thugs.
Turn them alway? And get protests from others in the line, because these guys are clearly innocent right? Or have you just saved your club from a disaster?
Sure you might offend some innocent people if you turn them away, but until you can be confident these guys are ok, isn't it better to er on the side of caution?
That's all trumps ban is. And it's temporary. Sure some innocent people's lives are getting messed up with it all...
But let's say he goes the opposite way, lets in 1000's of refugee's and doesn't check visa of people from Iraq, Libya etc...
And then there's an almighty terrorist attack in USA. I pretty sure the protesters will swing on a dime to start pointing the finger at Trump for letting them in.
So put yourself in Trumps shoes... he wants to make sure he doesn't end up with blood on his hands. Because given his right lean, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of folk that would love to visa USA and cause terror to spite Trump.
