Without pressure you do not want to fight for the things affect your life in the long run like learning, discover the world outside your contort zone, and actually search for the truth.
The most loudly yelled information into your ear gets accept as a fact because it echoes in your head, suppress your own thoughts, and makes you unable to accept contrary ideas or question your own belief.
This is the foundation of the XXI century populist ideology.
