    lunches are easy...

    1/2 should be veggies:
    whatever looks great at your farmer's market;
    steamed, stir-fried, grilled, roasted, pickled, however you like it

    1/4 should be carb:
    quinoa, rice, couscous, bread, pita, etc

    1/4 should be protein:
    beans, lentils, egg, hummus, seitan, tempeh, any meat substitute you like

    make shit ahead of time so all you have to do in the morning is throw it together. i pack mine in one of these and don't even bother reheating at lunchtime:

    • also, there are endless delicious soups you can make, just google for recipes. in the morning just heat and pack in a thermosscarabin
    • also, a little cooking skills will go a long way. pick up some basic techniques and you can make anything. don't rely on a microwave or others to feed you!scarabin
