When they first showed Tarkin's reflection, they should have left it at that. He was in so many scenes for far too long, thats what allowed us to pick out the flaws in the CG. Hell, he could have even just been a hologram and it would have been fine, but they chose to put him all out there. Really strange decision.

And Leia was even worse. Looked like some shit from the clone wars show. Eyebrows all crazy looking. Did anyone here see that recent final fantasy movie kingsglaive? This guy was all cgi and was super fucking convincing as a real human. Couldnt tell it wasnt cgi sometimes, and I seriously doubt this had the budget SW had, and it was TWO HOURS OF THIS.

Overall R1 was good. First hour felt rushed, patched together, very little character development. Some really dumb looking aliens at times that Force Awakens didnt have. What was that octopus thing?? I did a major eyeroll when I saw that. But for a spinoff movie made by some nobody that did that meh godzilla movie, it wasnt bad.

    • They REALLY got the eyes right on this guy. Didnt look fake like Tarkin and Leia.CygnusZero4
    • Cygnus hates on this, post #2/19monospaced
    • Like I said before, Vader could have sat in instead of Tarkin for some of the scenes. And Tarkin as a hologram would have been a good idea too.ETM
    • the r'ship between Tarkin and Krennic was pretty key to the story. You are nitpicking - it was superb CGI, breathtaking at times.fadein11
    • my better half thought carrie fisher was some deleted scene from back in the day, i thought it was obviously cgi, i guess it depends on how familiar you are wit
