even if this new Star Wars film is not great, at least there's some damn cinematic craft going on here.
Sadly missing from film these days.... the raptor eye looking through the ferns, liquid terminator emerging from the fire, bullet time neo, Ripley holding a flamethrower etc etc
Try and name a single shot or moment from the many years of super hero films that are iconic in any way. It's all just a blur of uninspired bullshit, but it's all great because r.downey Jnr is cracking wise!

- I have to agree, indy shooting the sword dude, Jack Nicholson axing the door, Jule's speech in pulp fiction, the ear scene in res. dogs, joker's delayed bomb_niko
- everything nowadays is let's see how much cgi crap we can throw on the screen at once. Confusing and utterly forgettable. I think George Lucas and his dumb_niko
- prequels ushered in this era. Give me rent boy disappearing into the toilet or any scene in any kubric film any day._niko
- No so much CGi's fault. Its more studio execs not giving a shit about stories. Now we have to cater for Chinas market. Things are getting dire.mugwart
