Ps and In are crashing at startup...been in forums for the last 4 hours trying everything...have an exam Friday need to practice my InDesign skills...WTF?!
Already tried the key combination CMD + ALT + CTRL + SHIFT several times...and whatever more...
In the last 4 hours it opened one time when I started Adobe CC but then...down...trying to uninstall and reinstall now.
Lets see what happens.
- have you tried trashing prefs? seems to work on macs, i've heard (well, read)
(back them up first, yo!)detritus - installed new fonts lately?Gnash
- what are you using for font management?Gnash
- i was using the last free fontexplorer version but uninstalled it. using just typekit and google fonts at the time.oey
- most of the issues i've had with PS and InD have been font related.Gnash
- isn't trashing preferences the key combination i posted? gonna check that!oey
- unistall any recent fonts. sometimes fonts get (unknowingly) loaded when you open a documentGnash
- did you restart?deathboy
- Option+Command+Shift as you launch either PS or InDGnash
- but that doesn't get rid any fonts loadedGnash
- Indesign is working again after logging to CC. I have an account from the academy I'm learning. But Ps still not working. Uninstalled most recent fonts.oey
- Mac, right? try restarting the machine into 'safe mode' -- press and hold the Shift key while it boots.Gnash
- You can stop holding the Shift key when you see an Apple logo and progress bar.Gnash
- this deletes font caches, Kernel cache and other system cache files (among a few other helpful things)Gnash
- reboot as usual to get out of safe modeGnash
- thanks Gnash!oey
