I just realized the other aspect that endeared him to the red states and much of the country who voted for him. He's an average Joe. His acceptance speech is so informal and that's the kind of thing those people identify with.
People don't just vote on the issues, they vote on the personality as well. There you go...
- An average joe who owns gold buildings and casinos with his name on them?********
- People identify with stupidity, really.********
- informal? like wihtout proper etiquette in an elite state. like hemingway vs faulkner. what is the value of a "proper" acceptance speech. but your right********
- His language is everyman language. You can't see that? And his success is their dream, the American dream.SteveJobs
- I'm not exalting him, just seeing on what level people might be relating to him. I'm amazed he actually won.SteveJobs
- obama has swagger gary was goofy, ppl prefer to vote non issues. issues take a bit more. this case he sold hope/change/swagger to a different crowd, same as BO********
- of course his swagger was the informal approach. the i dont need 300 dollar yoga pant swagger to rurals who worry about other things********
- i wonder if city folk will ever understand rural folk or vice versa. people think there little environment and social feed is the world********
- ah naw i see it steve. “Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words? He thinks I don’t know the ten-dollar words. I know them all right********
- I don't think so. The pendulum swings every election or two. When the grandiose expectations of one party aren't met, the favor switches to the other party.SteveJobs
- . But there are older and simpler and better words, and those are the ones I use.” how we culturally value speech********
- he uses a cheap word hes garbage. its not about the word, how sit said but the message. media didnt get that when always making fun of trump********
- they focused on his ramble and out of context quotes not the msg or what it meant to ppl********
- might be right on that too. but from knowing trump supporters to what media said, i say media was deadset wrong. they seemed to lack all comprehension********
- or they just simply new what sold. the high drama. the target was the person who already hated trump. the ppl in the city with more money. who knows********
- but cheers for actually having concern about others viewpoints. tired of the two minutes of hate here********
