I'm done.
I've loved politics since I was 10. I got all caught up in Cater's win in my teens and cast my first vote in 1980. I thought Reagan was bad, but he had a governing philosophy even if I didn't agree with it. I thought Bush W was bad, and his presidency was such an utter disaster it's amazing that Obama and the Dems managed to right the ship.
But this is the worst. Trump knows nothing about governance and has no philosophy at all. He has no one to put in charge...white supremacists and Gingrich and who? He's got people in charge of Congress who believe the government should be disbanded and drowned in a bathtub.
We are utter fucking morons. I think the US is a great idea for a country, but we have handed it over to a con man and the worst elements of our society. It's over for me, it's over for us, and sadly it's over for the rest of you, too. I hesitate to think what happens next to the US and A.
About the best thing that can happen to us is that Trump gets convicted of child rape next month and is impeached, and then we're left with Psycho McGodsquader instead. Either way, the courts are done, healthcare is done, we're fucked. It won't even help to move to another country, because you're all fucked, too.
I've enjoyed all the talk here when I had my sense of humor intact.
