    I agree with the comment about long page load time. These editorial sites are trying to find the balance between programatic and sponsored ads and that's leading to progressive uses of ad viewability and engagement practices. Larger ads that are sticky cause a ton of load issues.

    Having worked for a ton of large editorial websites it's all about mobile, ads and article pages now b/c the majority of traffic comes sideways from social and users visit one page and then bounce. All they care about now is the ad experience and so little effort is going into the design of these blog type sites b/c these templates need to accommodate like 4,000 ad units and different ad partners.

    Sad state of the editorial world when you'll find the ad experience to be far more engaging than the article content users are attempting to read.
