Did anyone else roll their eyes when Trump claimed that as soon as he becomes president, the crime and violence will stop? Does he really think that by simply becoming president people will stop hating and hurting each other? He certainly doesn't provide any insight on how he's planning to stop it all "very quickly." At one point he said he was the most informed and best equipped person alive to handle the situation, and even his audience took a major collective pause before he literally demanded an applause.

    • In all seriousness, I applaud the man for thinking he can and should fix things. But at the same time, implying that the current administration makes it worse..monospaced
    • ... that's just insensitive, misinformed and naive.monospaced
    • To belong to a party wanting smaller government, he's sure going to need to make it bigger than ever to: manage state and municipal police (not a federal role)mg33
    • ... To deport tens of thousands of immigrants, to build and manage a border wall, and to do plenty of other things.mg33
    • One could argue President Obama has not made things better. What policies has he personally championed that where implemented or successful?IRNlun6
    • ACA is his only big legislative success, but with major insurers opting out and premiums increasing, it is not doing well.IRNlun6
    • With the continuation of conflicts in Iraq/Afghanistan, and complicity in Ukraine, Libya, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Honduras, his foreign policy is disastrous.IRNlun6
    • And you've outlined my point precisely. Trump is claiming that nothing has been done, but at the same time, proposes nothing specific.monospaced
    • As if any president could singlehandedly stop racism and violence in a significant way using methods that aren't already in place today.monospaced
    • And, he wasn't talking about global conflicts. He's referring to domestic violence and the murder rates that make this nation so unique.monospaced
    • So basically mono just nullified the need to vote for hillery as well. not to mention his vote obama was useless also
