I rather liked this comment from elsewhere...
"I think this shows our willingness and in some cases neediness to enter into another reality.
How totally absurd and abstract life has become. Now we are not only walking around looking at a small screen all the time, we are entering into it with a cartoon reality.
Most humans are so disconnected with what it takes to survive and are now living abstract, fragmented lives with no real meaning. What a fitting end, to walk off of a cliff, looking for a pokeman thingie."
