I'm able to skate pretty well, in a straight line. The stops are still a little tricky and no slides or tricks yet but damn it's pretty exciting!
I started off for almost a week standing on it in the grass to get a feel for the board and work on balance. People jogging by on our path gave me weird looks but whatever. I'm sure a 40 something guy wearing gear skateboarding on a lawn looks weird but this is America damnit.
My sons have picked it up much faster. Our 6 year old shows ok interest but our 3 year old is a skating freak. He's fearless, crashes often, and keeps trying.
Thanks again for all the great advice and now that I know how to properly hold a skateboard I give stink eyes to the dopes who don't.
