I laughed my ass off during one point in that episode. Now everyone knows why Ian McShane was being such a jerk leaking spoilers about the show to people... he was pissed at being introduced and then killed off in less than an episode, hahah! Now he can go back to making that Deadwood movie I wanna see as Al Swearengen.

The opening scene in the 'born-again' community with him (AA guy) looking up at the tower and nodding approvingly struck me as gratuitous over-acting in a close-up shot, and the rest of the episode didn't really redeem itself from there. The hound chopped a lot of wood, and then heard one woman's cry, and then comes back to find the whole lot of them massacred. But yay for the Hound, anyway.

The Arya scenes was predictable, and not particularly well done. Presumably next episode she'll be in the arms of the actress whose life she saved, and she'll take off on another adventure. Or not.

I'm finding it hard to care at all about the storyline with Jaime and the siege. I hope it finds a way to get interesting soon.

Just give us a bloodbath of religious sycophants at the hands of the Mountain already, dammit!!

    • ugh, were* predictable.BuddhaHat
    • Did Ian do that? Kinda messed up. I like him as a actor, even though it was a small role, I liked it.sofakingback
