Love me some sci-fi!
Last year I read most of the Foundation series, which is pretty amazing and still very relevant today:
Recently trudged through this absolute pile of shit:
Finally revisiting an author I'm a fan of, who can write well:
- NO! Seveneves is shit?! Fucksticks, Id recently put it on my list. Do you like his other work?detritus
- I like his other work, and honestly, Seveneves was easily one of the worst books I've ever read. I wanted to like it, but it was just awful.monospaced
- cool for 1/2 the book, about 3/4 way in I wanted to give up, but reluctantly read to the end and threw it on the floor in disgustmonospaced
- Oh, balls. Thanks, I guess. I'd hoped perhaps you'd not read his other stuff and were simply put off by his style :(detritus
- Should've been obvious, I suppose - that branded N is alarmingly close to Nespresso branding!detritus
- Honestly, it didn't feel like I was reading a Stephenson novel. Idea was cool, but the execution was lackluster, and reading it became a chore at the endmonospaced
