The fact that you even need to ask "what style" this is proves that Kanye has done his job of convincing you that everything he does is 'high art' no matter how much evidence there is against him.
For some reason in the last 6 years rappers and hip-hop purists have decided that they're just as artistic as actual artists that spend time and effort perfecting their discipline (as opposed to just writing poetry to james brown loops).
Rappers are the laziest musicians.
