why not just adapt the main insta logo in to the style of the old supporting apps? IE a coloured rainbow line gradient camera icon, or if they absolutely had to, a block rainbow gradient with the icon reversed out similar to current. Second option might have looked horrible but IMO the old supporting apps were a nice, clean design
- to answer my question, sadly probably because it's easier to justify a hefty price tag when throwing the baby out with the bathwatertrue_cut
